We started this project with a simple idea: many small developer tasks should not require installing software, creating an account, or navigating through a complicated interface.
Whether you need to format JSON, generate a secure password, inspect data, or perform another quick task, the goal is to make that job faster and easier.
Why we built it
There are already many developer tools available online. However, a lot of them can feel cluttered, difficult to use, or filled with unnecessary features.
We wanted to take a different approach.
Each tool is designed around a specific problem and focuses on getting the job done without adding unnecessary complexity.
Built with privacy in mind
Whenever a tool can work entirely in your browser, we prefer that approach.
For example, tools that process information locally can perform their work without sending the data to our servers. This can be useful when working with sensitive or temporary information.
The exact data handling of each tool is explained on its respective page.
What we're building
The Developer Tools is an evolving collection. We're gradually adding more tools based on practical use cases and areas where existing tools can provide a better user experience.
We care more about making a smaller number of tools genuinely useful than filling the website with tools that nobody needs.
Our approach
We try to keep every tool:
- Easy to understand
- Fast to use
- Mobile-friendly
- Focused on one job
- Lightweight
- Clear about how it handles your data
The goal is simple: open a tool, do the work, and move on.
